This or That Book Tag

I was nominated by the wonderful Jessica over at The Awkward Book Blogger. You can just click here if you want to see her post, or here to see her blog! The Creator is Ayunda over at Tea and Paperbacks. Make sure you check out their blogs because they are awesome 🙂

The rules:

  • Mention the creator of the tag.
  • Thank the blogger who tagged you!
  • Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
  • Tag 10 other people to do this tag to spread the love!

1. Reading on the couch or on the bed?

The couch usually because when I read on my bed  I can’t always seem to get comfortable.

2. Male main character or female main character?

I don’t really care as long as the characters are good.

3. Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?

It honestly depends on the book.

Sweet books= sweet snack

Anything else pretty much= salty snack

4. Trilogies or quartets?

I read more trilogies. Quartets can be pretty good, but the fourth book just usually seems to be stretching it.

5. First person point of view or third person point of view?

I read more first person I think, but I don’t really care as long as it makes sense for the book.

6. Reading at night or in the morning?

I read a lot more at night because I have more time and it’s a great way to “relax” after a long day.

7. Libraries or bookstores?

8. Books that make you laugh or make you cry?

I like books that make me laugh more.

9. Black book covers or white book covers?

Black book covers because I usually expect more action.

10. Character driven or plot drive stories?

I think Jessica answered this one perfectly so I’m just going to steal what she said…

“Both? I can’t choose between the two. I choose book based on the plot, characters, and world more than how the story is told. I don’t really have a preference, as long as I enjoy the story.”

WWW Wednesday

WWW Wednesday is a weeklyy meme where you answer three questions:

What are you currently reading?

What did you recently finish reading?

What do you hope to read next?

WWW Wednesdays@ Taking on a World of Words

What are you currently reading?

So I am currently reading Maximum Ride Forever by James Patterson.

THE NINTH AND ULTIMATE MAXIMUM RIDE STORY IS HERE! Legions of Max fans won’t be disappointed by this encore episode in the beloved series about the incredible adventures of a teenage girl who can fly. As Maximum Ride boldly navigates a post-apocalyptic world, she and her broken flock are roaming the earth, searching for answers to what happened. All will be revealed in this last spectacular “ride”- a brand-new grand finale featuring all of the nonstop action, twists and turns that readers can rely on in a blockbuster Patterson page turner!

What did you recently finish reading?

Yesterday I finished reading Nevermore by James Patterson, the eight book in the maximum ride series.

Maximum Ride and her faithful friends stand ready to face the two greatest threats that humankind has ever known–now combining forces in an unbeatable plot to destroy life as we know it once and for all. And this time, the enemy truly can’t be stopped. The danger mounts just as the boy genetically engineered to be her “perfect match”, Dylan, has finally worked his way into Max’s heart–and just as her beloved Fang unexpectedly returns to the flock. An explosive confrontation between the two boys with a claim to Max’s heart ensues, and the entire world hangs in the balance.

In this powerful and moving latest sequel in James Patterson’s epic fantasy series, fans will finally get the answers they’ve been waiting for–and an ending full of shock, surprises, and the greatest conclusion you never saw coming.

What do you plan on reading next?

Next I plan on reading Dust by Patricia Cornwell.

Massachusetts Chief Medical Examiner Kay Scarpetta has just returned from working one of the worst mass murders in U.S. history when she’s awakened at an early hour by Detective Pete Marino.

A body, oddly draped in an unusual cloth, has just been discovered inside the sheltered gates of MIT and it’s suspected the identity is that of missing computer engineer Gail Shipton, last seen the night before at a trendy Cambridge bar. It appears she’s been murdered, mere weeks before the trial of her $100 million lawsuit against her former financial managers, and Scarpetta doubts it’s a coincidence. She also fears the case may have a connection with her computer genius niece, Lucy.

At a glance there is no sign of what killed Gail Shipton, but she’s covered with a fine dust that under ultraviolet light fluoresces brilliantly in three vivid colors, what Scarpetta calls a mineral fingerprint. Clearly the body has been posed with chilling premeditation that is symbolic and meant to shock, and Scarpetta has reason to worry that the person responsible is the Capital Murderer, whose most recent sexual homicides have terrorized Washington, D.C. Stunningly, Scarpetta will discover that her FBI profiler husband, Benton Wesley, is convinced that certain people in the government, including his boss, don’t want the killer caught.

In Dust, Scarpetta and her colleagues are up against a force far more sinister than a sexual predator who fits the criminal classification of a “spectacle killer.” The murder of Gail Shipton soon leads deep into the dark world of designer drugs, drone technology, organized crime, and shocking corruption at the highest levels.

With unparalleled high-tension suspense and the latest in forensic technology, Patricia Cornwell once again proves her exceptional ability to surprise—and to thrill.
